Looks like they are taking BBC3 off the EPG and shuffling along to make room for BBC 4 SD on 110

the news on Channel 999 says

BBC One HD will move to 106 (was 108)
BBC Two will move to 108 (was 109)
    Alba 109 <--110
BBC Four 110 <--148 , the SD one.

    Older news
note about Frontrunner arriving on Channel 250
Keep it Country launches on 516 for country music fans.

BBC Four SD and BBC Four HD both taking up prime slots is a waste. The content is the same on both.

BBC 1 and BBC 1 HD are also taking up prime space when one or other of them should be enough. They should have HD channels or SD channels for these EPG positions. Instead we have ITV HD and CH 4 HD way down the list.

Why can they not revise the EPG positions to give HD channels priority?

What I meant was all new boxes are HD boxes, it should be possible for them to simply flag what channels the box needs by the software on the box and put them on the beginning channels

e.g 101 -104 bbc1 ch4 etc the four mainstream channels and put the hd versions in these positions on a hd box...

Long time since Ive personally since a freesat sd box...what ones have you got?

Pity they do not move ITV HD to 103.

They can't do that because of the regional adverts - advertisers would not be happy.

Is there only one ITV HD? They could do the same as BBC and use the postcode if they have regional ITV HD.

So why is it not on 103?

As mentioned here before the reason is...

There are 18 regional variations of ITV, but only 8 are available in HD
Until the other 10 launch there won't be a HD swap

Same goes for BBC One, there are 18 regional variations, but only 4 are in HD

And in BBC Two's case, only 1 of 4 are in HD (England)

I forgot to mention ITV HD Yorkshire and Tyne Tees which were added a while back.

Good news, the epg was starting to get a little disorganised.
    Well done Freesat.

Does ITV HD appear on 103 in the regions where ITV HD exist?

London has SD at 103 and it has an HD channel - so no.

I cannot understand why they do this - it would make so much more sense to put the HD channels as the first option, with the +1 stations gathered together.

Really wish the following channels would join the Freesat EPG:

    Bike
    Kerrang
    Scuzz

Unlikely Kerrang and Scuzz will rejoin after they were pulled in the last while.

Bike would be a super addition as it would at long last have a dedicated sports channel on there. They also have shown some decent live races that don't get aired anywhere else

Don't use the Freesat EPG on my Samsung tele because the above aren't on it, also so I can order the channels as I like them - HD channels filling the first 7 slots is very nice
