    hi all if on BTWEA Self employed option - is there a requirement to have public liability insurance ? tks in advance

    Some items are not eligible for grant support under the ESG. These include:
    • Building/premises rental costs
    • Cost of travel
    • Insurance (except public liability)

    .I think that a common sense approach is needed,if members of the public are entering your premises/job site you need insurance.

    Hi HairMare,
    There are no requirements for you to have public liability insurance to be accepted for the scheme. There are even no requirements for you to have it if you are currently on the scheme.
    It's your choice should you wish to get it. Which let's be honest, can save hassle in the long run should something ever come up.

    Totally agree it would be best practise, my issue is that it was being inferred my claim wasnt valid without same...
