So I just screwed up. I was taking air out of the radiator in the bathroom upstairs and low and behold the whole screw came off and the water came gushing out.
I turned off the heating straight away, and I am certain all the water has been emptied from the radiator. What needs to be to fix my mess up ?

Put the bleed screw back in and then top up water pressure In heating

How do I top up the water pressure? I assume there is some tank in the attic? Will this refill the rad? Sorry clueless when it comes to this stuff

Put the bleed screw back in and if you turned off the radiator valves just open these and bleed the radiator again, then adjust the pressure in your heating if its a sealed systyem if you have a small tank in the attic for your heating it will fill itself

Either beside the boiler or in the hot press there will be a pressure vessel and filling valve with pressure guage if you dont see this anywhere its a tank gravity system which will fill automatic.

So I look for a pressure valve and and filling valve with a pressure gauge beside the boiler or hot press (not sure what these look like tbh). I know there are two tanks in the attic, one large and one small. If I cant find this then I bleed the rad that has emptied open the valve on it and turn on the heating and it will refill?

Two tanks equals gravity system so you dont need to worry about filling the system. How did you turn off the heating as you said you did. If it was just the radiator at the valves just close the bleed screw open the radiator valves and bleed again.

I managed to get the bleed screw back on after a lot of fumbling and water, luckily enough the water wasn't too hot
