Lads, I have a pet lamb that has suddenly developed a massive swollen belly and now won't drink with the rest of them. Any ideas? They seem to be drinking a lot of milk very fast.

Check if his bum is working... had a pet lamb 3 years ago like you describe above and I discovered that the problem was that his bum was sealed and couldnt poo... had to put the poor lamb down...

As above check has he got a bum hole. If he has then get a syringe and squirt a bit of soapy water up it to relieve the blockage. If no bum bring to the vet. It can be opened.

Think it was bloat. Gave him 40ml of cooking oil and he is fine this morning.

I think I'm giving them too much milk. 6 of them are drinking 11 litres warm milk a day in 3 feeds. Need to cut that back I think. They range from 3 to 6 weeks old and are bucket fed.
