Lads I know this was asked before but I cant find the thread. I took delivery
of 1000ltr kerosene today. It only seems to 3/4 way fill the tank. This is a standard green plastic kerosene tank. What quantity do these tanks hold? It doesnt say it on the tank anywhere. Maybe its the way the tank curves in near the top? I put a mark on the tank to indicate the kero level. The tank was just about empty before filling. Perhaps 1'' of kero on the bottom before fill.

You can order Kero by either price or litres. The Trucks can meter in any amount, or just order say 500 litres. If you wish to fill the Tank then they can fill it for you and price accordingly.

I just go on the assumption that my tank holds 1200 -1300 ltr and ill judge the next fill up.

It should state the quantity delivered on your delivery docket. Its usually fairly accurate.

Would be wise to look at properly supporting the tank too,
