    Hi,

I really want to grow my hair longer but it's not in great condition with all the heat styling I do. I can't just leave it as it looks crazy and unpleasantly messy, so I was thinking of looking into these 12 week blowdrys.

Can anyone sharr their experience with them? Am I barking up the wrong tree? Can anyone recommend one in South Dublin or Dublin CC?

I'd avoid. Buy a L'Oreal Steampod instead. Google it. The reviews will tell you how amazing it is for your type of hair. I have one and it's just amazing.

I've a friend who gets them and she swears by it. She gets it done in Kevills on South Anne st. I'm thinking of it myself but haven't quite committed just yet.

I've damaged hair , as I'm naturally extremely dark (think Snow White colouring) but decided I wanted to be blonde for most of my mid 20's.

I had the blonde toned down and blended so I could grow it out balayage style and now its as if I have 2 totally different types of hair on my head! I mean, it looks good and thankfully its a good time to grow out a dye job as it just looks like I've had balayage on purpose, but texture wise the older hair feels terrible. My new hair is really silky and shiny, and I've love the ends to look more sleek.

I'm also considering an Opalex treatment as an alternative as hopefully it would make the ends look healthier.

Has anyone any experience with that?

Also, you still need to blowdry your hair with the 12week blowdry, it just reduces the need for straightners. So you'd be reducing heat damage but not eliminating it.

I'm probably the only person in the world who wasn't impressed with the steampod! I swapped mine for my sister's instyler and I much prefer it.

@SarahMollie my hair sounds pretty similar to yours, lovely healthy roots and damaged ends. The in salon Olaplex treatment was very good and defo worth it imo but the at home Olaplex no.3 treatment wasn't great.

Oh no, I'm more confused now.

What exactly should I expect from a olaplex treatment?
