Vodafone Sure Signal over 4G/Repeater

    Hi,

Has anyone, or does anyone know if I could use the Vodafone SureSignal over a very reliable (Three or Vodafone) 4G connection via mobile dongle. Heres the problem:

GSM coverage inside house is deadzone.
    GSM/4G coverage at windows is good/excellent. (4G Speeds 20 Down / 5 Up)

    Setup:
I'd like to get a SureSignal unit, and plug it into the ethernet port on a wireless repeater which repeats the 4G signal around the house - hey presto - better GSM coverage in the house (rather than at the window)

Anyone know if such a thing has been done?

    Thanks

Ask vodafone? They've got complete control over the process so its up to them.

Actually - they seem not to know. At least the people who I have spoken to.

Terms specify fixed line so you'll have to get the to agree to ignore that fact or its a non runner. If you've no internal contacts I suspec that'd be hard.

No internal contacts - but the SureSignal arrived and I connected it to a 4G Dongle (via Repeater) and the setup works perfectly - just in case anyone else is wondering.

Nice, this could be a good solution for others too instead of illegal GSM boosters.

True, as long as you have a good connection at the windows of the house it will probably be a better solution.

Not just at the windows, I'd imagine this might work with antenna based 4g solutions to distribute to handsets.

So wait... you're using a VF Suresignal to amplify a 3 4G connection?

No. They're using a Vodafone suresignal to provide Vodafone network service to their phones.
The network connection between their suresignal and the Vodafone network is carried over the 3 4G network, but purely as data.
It's not the same thing as amplifying the 3 signal.

This does effectively give the Vodafone handsets signal in an area where there is only 3 coverage available,
and the unit will give a good signal through most of the house.

I've done the same thing with a Meteor 4G connection, and also run a blueface handset happily over the same link.

Would you by any chance have a link for that wireless repeater?
