    Does anyone know what's the cheapest way to post cheap items within Ireland?

    Current examples of what I plan to post;
    Sat Finder
    Video Glasses for Smartphones

    Also, although I don't want to fleece the buyer, I'm aware that some people get snagged for items not turning up, so wondering if sending it by registered post is worth it for such cheap items?

    You have anpost, but you can also use Parcel Motel (slower than anpost) or parcel Connect.

    Parcels do get lost on post but also buyers might say they never got the item, I would recommend sending trackable postage, just specify in that post is by track postage.

    What I do on medium value items is split the P&P cost between a shipping charge and the item value, that way I can give tracked shipping via AnPost without shipping seeming excessive. It may not be the cheapest option but for low volumes it works for me and I pass Post Offices when out on the road during my "real job".

    Cheaper items I offer tracking as an extra, customers rarely pay for it.

    I've never had a problem with damaged or lost goods with AnPost in three years and the goods would be delicate enough.
