I'm a cryptocurrency enthusiast and I've never heard of this. Generally any supposed cryptocurrency launched by a company is not really a cryptocurrency. After a quick look I couldn't find any supposed features that this has over anything else out there. I'm not seeing open source code, I'm seeing a company selling things. There are plenty of outfits trying to get easy VC money or sell snake oil to people who don't understand the technology but who want some cryptocurrency exposure or be on the next big thing when it rises like bitcoin did. I'm not saying that that's what GCC Coin is, but it looks like it.

In general the only cryptocurrency that matters is Bitcoin, at least for now. Ethereum is also gaining some traction, but it's more of a platform for smart contracts, still faces some major design decisions for its future and it does not have an absolute cap on supply. It's risen a lot lately but most people are just speculating on it, usage beyond that is minuscule.

Typically This thread has been the place to discuss crypto in more depth so far on this forum.
