    I have a quick question?
Nama had a place for sale down the road from me but took it down again because the have some problem with planning on the boundary wall or something like that. I'm very interested in buying the house. Can you contact them and buy the house off them or do I have to wait for it to go up for sale on daft etc again.

Are you sure it was NAMA?

Edit: There are plenty of single NAMA units for sale - all detailed on their website! Apologies for the confusion.

Just ring but the estate agent who's name was listed on the advert and tell them you are interested in buying. They'll let you know pretty quickly what your options are.

A word of warning. Make sure any legal issues are solved buy the vendor or else walk away. Buying "as is" is only a option for someone that has enough money to leave the house sitting in limbo while the rest of their properties roll in the profit!

As MT said, with NAMA you buy as is, with zero comeback or certification so you need to be forensically certain all issues are sorted.

So do I ring them up and make a bid on it or how is it done. You will have to excuse me I'm a first time buyer so it's all new to me

    Don't rush in!

Just ring up the auctioneer and ask to speak to whoever was dealing with XYZ address.

Tell him/her you were interested in going to see it but the sign went down last week so you are ringing up to ask what the story is! No-one makes an offer before viewing a house anyway so they won't expect that.

I'll ring them today to arrange a viewing and see if the let me. Thanks for the replies.
