Interesting the gorey FCP charges the 24kw leaf , but faults on my 30 kw ( all other types of FCP are working )

It's an older unit , I wonder is there an issue with the 30 kw leaf or s fault In the the FCP. Anyway I reported it.

Probably a compatibility issue. A number of the older FCPs got reflashed in November/December to address an issue with the 30kWh Leaf.

The old FCP at Glenageary (which was down due to lack of parts anyway) was a model that SGTE could not update to support then 30kWh Leaf.
Gorey might not have been updated or might be one of those that fixes were not issued for.

Oh and there's also an issue with both the SGTE and DBT FCPs with DC breakers tripping too soon if the vehicle takes high amperages fairly soon in the charging process.

The DBT in clonshaugh is tripping on the DC side at about 50A when an i3 connects.

Ecotricity has some of the same issues with the same FCPs....

    But they have two advantages:
One... they actually chase the FCP manufacturers for the latest firmware updates and deploy them in a timely fashion
And.... they have generally two FCPs per site, so if one is down you just use the other.

The only FCP manufacturer worth a damn in my opinion is ABB, they have less issues than other manufacturers (which is one reason FastNed are using them)... but ESB isn't buying any more ABBs (there are two in NI).

I think I have used both of those. One was in Newry, the other in mid-Ulster near Magherafelt. --- That reminds me, need to go for a proper spin on the Leaf soon. Has been months since the last long journey.
