Please Help Gas Boiler Trips after 4 mins and Steam sprays out of Top

Hi Hope someone can help before I call out a plumber.

I have an Ideal classic 250FF Gas boiler.

When cold and in idle the pressure guage reads .3 (Which I think is normal)

After turning on the boiler after about 4 mins it starts to make noises from around the pump area, pressure rises to 2 bar and it trips out. A lot of steam and pressure comes out of the pressure relief valve on top and I also notice air and water escape from the 2 bleed valves between the pump. (Like they are leaking or something) Are these suppose to let pressure/water out without been open? or is this what the problem is.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

I will try upload a video later.

    Thanks

Sounds like your pump has had it.

Pump appears to be running fine though. I can defo hear it running and working ok.

Any other ideas or do you still think it might be the pump. Is there any chance it could be sucking in air from the 2 leaking bleed valves. Are they suppose to let air/water out without been touched.

    Cheers

Pump appears to be running fine though. I can defo hear it running and working ok up to the 4 minute mark. Also if I have boiler turned off I can hear it running smoothly for hours. Its only when the boiler is turned on it makes noises after the 4 mins and cuts out.

Still can be your pump (motor can run, but impeller broken), best have an RGI out to check for you, could be airlocked

Thanks very much for your replies. Just noticed when I went to bleed the first radiator closest to boiler and upstairs, the water was spraying out under extreme pressure. Is this normal? Will I continue to bleed?

If water is spraying out then the radiator is bled. What pressure is at the gauge on the boiler?

Sorry there's nothing more you can do then. Ring the plumber and explain your financial position. Maybe he/she will allow you pay next week.
