Nest 3 generation

Seen the nest 3rd generation has hot water timer function, but looks like it's for controlling the immersion?

Anybody know if the hot water timer function can be used to turn on boiler with a solenoid valve in closed position. This to allow the hot water to heat up using oil as set by timer and the thermostate function turns on the boiler and opens solinoid valve to enable heating?

    Thanks

I just installed my Nest Today,

It does indeed control dual zone boilers (heating & hot water), so therefore does actuate the solenoid valve to switch your boiler to hot water only.

No issues so far, my water schedule works fine, but given the time of year now, I feel I won't really get a feel for it until next winter.
