Getting procedeures done overseas

    Pensioner need 3 ops done, 1 year+ waiting list here (unless you're on VHI ), anyone got experience of getting ops done in UK / France / ...... quicker ?

    The main problem I have encountered regarding people having medical procedures abroad is that there are severe difficulties with after care
    Your GP doesn't know where you went, why you went, what was done, what needs to be done now, who did the op etc
    You'll have your notes, if they're not in English you'll have to get them translated, but even then there are difficulties
