I haven't been to Dublin Zoo in a long time, I really like it there. I want to see those pandas again.

Not been up to Dunree fort for a long time, unsettling place but has an odd draw to it.

Donegal. They put it up there in that top left hand corner, making it awkward to get to. I don't even drive, sir!

Kerry, personally don't like it that much though.

    About 25 counties.

Live in Kerry, go to Cork frequently, little interest in the rest of the country. But do have to make the odd trip to Dublin so guess that's another 5 or so.

I haven't been to Donegal in about four years. Almost two years since I was in Belfast.

    Might change that soon.

That's a shame, it's improved quite a bit since then. :pac:

    Lovely spot though.

Kerry. Have looked at it, across the Shannon from Clare, but always seem to be waiting for someone to give me a lift back to Dublin.

Anywhere outside Dublin. I want to go to that Island where Star Wars was filmed in the summer so I'll have to break my Dublin streak.

I haven't been anywhere that's not my house or my job for what seems like an eternity. Actually I tell a lie, I've been in my car travelling between the two also:mad:

    Kildare, Athy specifically.

Used to go there regularly to visit a friend and her family but she turned traitor and moved to England so I haven't been down there since.

The counties in the North West. Haven't ever been there, so that's a long time.

Would you believe I've never been to Northern Ireland. Ever.

I grew up in the 80s, so NI was just not a holiday destination for any sane person from the republic.

And after that, just never had a reason. Drove through it a couple of times on the way to Donegal, but have just never gotten around to visiting.

That's a shame to be honest. You're really missing out limiting yourself like that.

"I've been to paradise, but I've never been to Meath"

...not since school trips to Newgrange in the early '90s anyway.

The midlands. Friends tell me not to bother, that it's dying and becoming the "dead zone" of Ireland, is that true ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,797 ✭✭✭Sir Osis of Liver.

    Sligo.
Got a warning from a guard when I was working there as an apprentice to "never come back to Sligo" after a particularly rowdy night out in 1990.

I stuck to my word to never return.(never really had the desire to anyway)

I lived in Cork City for a year about...oh, 17 years ago. Haven't been back since, to my best recollection...

Actually I haven't really been to that many counties for any length of time, full stop....was last in Donegal about 9 years ago.

Don't think I've ever been to Munster.

Haven't been to Barna, Galway in a few years love that Atlantic oceanside village. I used to go their to vist cousins every year and you can get a bus straight to Salthill the seaside town that has the water park, amusements, rollercoasters and other types of fun fair rides, was great for kids.

Havent' been to Ardee, Louth in years have relatives there too, they used to live right beside the large castle not the small one. We used to go to Ballapusta (spell) graveyard which is Ireland's largest graveyard I understand, it used to remain of the final scene from the Good, the Bad & the Ugly.

And also haven't been to Crossmaglen, Armagh in years, I have relatives there. Eh, the place has a nice newsagents.
