Hvar Croatia Flights

    Hi.
I'm looking into going to Croatia during the summer.
Hoping to start with 6 nights in Hvar & finish up with 2 nights in Dubrovnik.

Split seems to be the closest main airport to Hvar but I can't seem to find any direct flights to Split from Ireland.

Is there a better way to get to Hvar from Ireland?
Is Dubrovnik the only realistic airport to transit through via a direct flight from Ireland?
    Thanks

Split would be the closest but as you say no direct flights option. You also have the option of Zadar Airport - Ryanair fly there direct from Dublin. But if you're finishing in Dubrovnik it makes sense to fly out of there at least as its a long drive back to Zadar.

Flying to and from dubrovnik is a good option as you can catch a short ferry to hvar from there (just make sure to prebook as it books up days in advance in the summer). You wouldn't necessarily have to do a day in dubrovnik at the start depending on your flight time, you might be able to just get a taxi from the airport to the ferry and head straight to hvar

    Flights from Dublin to Dubrovnik:

Aer Lingus (5 times weekly): https://www.aerlingus.com/

ASL Airlines Ireland, charter flight - booking seat only with Croatia Tours (Wednesdays): http://croatia.ie/ (site seems to be broken at the moment)

There are also Aer Lingus and other charter flights bookable here: http://www.concordetravel.ie/flightonly/

    Thanks guys.
Could do Dubrovnik at the start before Hvar either - the order doesn't matter too much.
    Flights are quite expensive though

I'm pretty sure Easyjet fly from Belfast to Split.

That may not be any help to you though.

Croatia Tours had some good deals for flight only bookings in June. They might have gone up by now though.
