    Hi All,

My mother recently discover she may be entitled to Blind Pension, she is currently on a different SW payment.

How do SW confirm her eye sight to eligible or not? How long is it usually to process the application?

    TIA

Her GP/specialist will need to supply test results ect.

If she applies for a pension she should remain on her current payment until a decision is made.

There's nothing on the application about providing evidence! Do we just send the application and wait for them to respond requesting evidence or medically assess her?

    Thanks!

To be classed as blind there are minimum vision abilities set down,I cant find them just atm,you will need to have test results with the application and a letter from the GP.ie visual fields test ect.
