Can't remove paint on tiles

We recently built a new house. The guy that primed all the walls didn't do a great job of covering the floors and by the time we got to see the tiles a week had passed so the paint stains were well and truly stuck on. We've tried a lot of things to remove the paint. All sorts of tile cleaners, methylated spirits, steam cleaning etc and no joy. They're porous non gloss tiles. Picture attached. Is there anything else we can try before we get a professional to look at it? Thanks.

Have you had a go at them with a green scrubby? Those yokes will remove almost anything with a bit of elbow grease and water. If it's not water based paint, add a little white spirits.

I have no idea whether this would work but if were me I'd try nail varnish remover.

Can you chip away with a sharp instrument to make a start?

I would say you should be able to remove the paint but you don't want to leave behind any marks from scratching or chemical stains.

I was also going to say nail varnish remover. It comes as acetone-free or with acetone, apparently -so I always ask for the kind which has acetone in it .

I would also think about Nitromors or Durabond Varnish Stripper .

I use them for renovating crusty old paint brushes.

Thanks very much for your help. I'll try the nail varnish remover tomorrow and see if it works. If not lots of good suggestions there, thank you.

No joy with the nail varnish remover and scrubbing. Nitromors or Durabond varnish stripper, would they be okay to use on tiles without damaging them? We have tried paint stripper before so are they the same? It's almost as if it's gone in to the tiles at this stage.

Have done that too, they recommended the methylated spirits. Was just trying here to see if there was anything we missed. Think it's time to get a professional in to look at them. Thanks everyone.
