SUSI Deferring?

So I am planning on taking next year out to work and was wondering about the SUSI grant. Should I apply next week even though I have no intention of heading to university next year? Sorry if this sounds mad, just wasn't sure what way to go about it.

No, you have to apply the year you're attending college.
