HOUSING ADAPTION GRANT

    I understand that if someone applies for a Housing Adaption Grant they would include 2 reasonable quotes from builders.
    What I am wondering is if grant would be awarded were the applicants to self build and pay for the works as it proceeded maybe from a bank / credit union loan and then get paid the grant on completion.

    I think with DCC it requires a registered builder and certified sign off on completion.

    No.
    Builder must have tax clearance cert, which is impossible with self build.
