    Hi all,

€140 for fitting replacement front left ball joint (maybe wishbone) on a 00 Fiesta. Sound reasonable?

€30 for tracking on top of that.

    Ta!

Does the 140 include parts & labour? If it does & the whole wishbone is bring replaced it sounds reasonable. If only the balljoint it sounds expensive

Yeah, that's all in and only if it's the whole wishbone. Nobody bar the NCT guy has actually looked at it yet...

Those ball joints are available separately for around €15 each.

The old ones might be riveted in so a time consuming job to pull out the old one, once out the new one will only take 5 minutes to put in.

Nah, an indy will prob do it for 50, you supply the joint.

My regular indy can't fit it in before a long journey I need to take, and I'd prefer to get it done before that. He reckoned that, if it's a new wishbone needed, that'd be around 50 in the local motor factors, and that it'd be around an hour's (billable) labour.

Still, will ring around. A one-stop-shop that'd do the alignment as well is temptingly handy, though...
