Scrapping my 1996 Corsa

    Hey there. My dear old 1996 Corsa gave up on me (loud bang , lots of smoke) recently and I now have to scrap it. The problem is that any legitimate scrapyards that I call up do not seem to want it. I'm based in Donegal, but the car is stuck in Strabane. Does anyone know any (legit) place that takes really old bangers for scrap near Strabane? It would need to be collected, as it no is no longer drivable. Thanks.

    Put it up on donedeal or gumtree (100% honest ad & plenty of information with decent pictures) and surely someone would have some interest in it.

    Thanks for this! I'd give it away at this point. Ha! It's in my sister's drive and I'm sure they just want it gone!

    Put it up asking for €200 and mention all the relevant information and pictures and someone will surely take it. €100+ I'd guess someone would give.

    There's a stockrod track in Ballymena and Tullyroan which are ~1 hour from Strabane and they all use Corsa shells so it should appeal to them if they see it.

    Any local VEC schools in your vicinity running auto courses? They may be interested in a donated car to strip and rebuild for teaching purposes. Think of it as the car donating it's body to medical science!

    Yes, I believe they run them in Letterkenny. Never would've thought of that- - thanks!
