Bachelors Walk ? A great Irish situational comedy that was very of its time.

Which other programs do RTE never repeat but should ?

There may be shows, even ones broadcast only on RTE where they don't own the rights to air it.

And they may not give a fig about purchasing those rights again from the programmes distributor.

Instead of investing in a comedy budget for next season they should just rerun Bachelor's Walk and Paths to Freedom on Monday nights.

I think it has something to do with having to pay the actors again.

You won't see the Cosby Show on tv for a long time.

Is there any way of watching Bachelors walk again? would love to see it again. I think the first season was the only one that ever came out on DVD. Makes no sense.

The Family hasn't gotten a repeat (AFAIK) due to Roddy Doyle and RTE having a little disagreement. Over what is open to conjecture - a pity as it's some of Sean McGinley's and Ger Ryan's finest acting work (her clocking him with a frying pan when he eyes up the daughter is a scene I remember across 20 years plus).
And anyone who has read The Woman Who Walks Into Doors needs to see McGinley as Charlo.

Pure Mule, though I bought the box set at the time for this reason. Must give it another run

Pure Mule is the best thing rte has ever done. I've never rushed home to watch any other Irish show before or since.

Don Wycherley and Simon Delaney have had pretty prominent careers afterwards, but what of Barry?

Didnt Barry appear in Raw? Youre right though, he doesnt appear much compared to the other two, maybe he concentrates mainly on theatre or something?

RTÉ did license a bunch of shows to Netflix way back:

    http://digitalblog.rte.ie/2012/09/13/netflix-and-rte-bring-great-content-to-over-1m-netflix-subscribers-in-the-uk-and-irl/

But they've been gone for a while. It might have been too early for it to have had an impact.
