To say the world mourns her passing is a little strong, I'd think there are quite a few workers in Qatar who won't care too much

A muslim who dedicated her life to building things up as opposed to blowing them up.

And there's a considerable (I not vast) amount who have never heard of her. RIP all the same, who ever you are.

To be fair that had nothing to do with her design and more to do with a disregard for construction H&S, and lack of human rights in Qatar.

An architect I worked with worked for her practice at one time. I believe she was a brilliant design architect. Once when she returned from a trip abroad, wherever that was, she brought back black shirts for all the office staff to wear including my former colleague. Two problems.
    1. They had to pay for them
    2. There was only one shirt each - no change mid-week, never mind daily.

Perhaps the practical things were not her strength.

    How weird.

Are we going keep cursing 2016 whenever someone mildly famous dies?

The world won't be mourning this person's death. I and I'm sure many others have never even heard of her.

Those black shirts will be handy for her funeral now anyway.

Surely a candidate for the most untributelike RIP/Tribute thread on boards.

Oh, I dunno. There was a thread suggesting that the deceased was a peado just because he worked in the entertainment business in the 70s....that was a new low for here.

I don't see the point, the person you quoted is suggesting that this RIP thread is for someone that 99% of people have never heard of...I'm presuming that's not the case with your paedo entertainer?

Wow just did a search of her on google, her designs were very feminine.
Lots of curves and very futuristic looking.
    She was very creative.

Read his post. He is not saying that the person was the most untributable....but the thread is the most untributable. And so I commented that the one with the peado accusitions is also a candidate for an untributable RIP thread.

Ah, I get what you're saying now, sorry took a while , and yes, I think you're correct

Can't say I loved her stuff, anything I've taken notice of was more along the "hmmm, neat" lines than in the "wow, now that's daring/provocative/brilliant" category.

Ah come on, you might as well mourn the passing of a leading box designer. This is AH, 99.999% of people won't have a clue who they are.
