Tear in leather seat. Fix?

There are a few leather restoration places around the pale you could try.

Check with breakers or cars breaking on donedeal/adverts and see if you can get a better seat?

    Did you see this?

Often, the passenger seat is the same as the driver's one. Almost mint passenger seats are much more available...

Thanks lads. Should have said I bought this car for €550 and won't be investing any money in it so something like a new seat from a scrappy is out.

I think the gap might be too wide at this stage for one of those kit repairs from your video, beko?

I'm not even that interested in a cosmetically pleasing fix, as long as the tear doesn't get worse...

Glued patch inside, neat needlework outside?

    I would.

Even rough needlework on its own. Use a fishhook-type needle. And a thimble.

First option was my thinking. Not pretty but should be strong

Second one would probably put a lot of pressure on the needlework because the gap will be tightened down?

Looking at the tear/wear again, and as you just want a functional repair, I would consider gluing a strip of leather externally along the entire length.

With the state of the seat, black duct tape is another option! :D
