Advice needed

    Hi everyone

I posted in a different forum yesterday all about how I received a debt collector letter from CMOS on behalf of Vodafone.
Quick explanation : I signed up for a phone and sim contract. One day phone stopped working so sent for repair. Got a call few days later saying outside damage done to phone even though the repair receipt said there was none. Refused to pay so I cancelled the contract as I felt my warranty in my contract wasn't being provided.
So back to now I talked to two different Vodafone employees saying I wanted to sort this out as soon as possible even if it means paying.
One employee said nothing was paid on my account even though there was a 300 up front cost on the day of signing. I'm going in soon to prove this.
The other kept directing me back to CMOS even though I stated I have no legal obligation to do that.
I was wondering what to do next cause I'm confused by the different answers. Help is greatly appreciated even if it is just pay them. Just looking to fix this in the best way possible

If you pay your bill that's the quickest way.
