I am living in rented accommodation and in my sitting room there is a stove and also oil heating. There are no air vents in the sitting room. Im just wondering is this dangerous or is this ok?

Oil will be cheaper than stove to heat house, if you can afford to buy it in bulk.

Some (very few) stoves have direct air vent to outside. Otherwise there should be a permanent non closeable vent and of a suitable size. Above all you should have a WORKING carbon monoxide alarm in that room.
