So got a new job. Will be cycling 15 km each way 4 times a week. I'll be starting off in the city then towards blanchardstown (I'll more than likely go the Navan Road route.

I'm thinking hybrid would be my best bet. Any suggestions on decent hybrids between 6-800 euro?

    All help greatly appreciated.

My first bike was a boardman team hybrid from halfords,

I really couldn't fault it, was nippy responsive and i found i could go a decent clip on it, fairly well speced as well, although this years has shimano set up mine was SRAM with avid hyd disc brakes.

I think its a good start, although you'll probably want a road bike with drops after about a week ! I did anyway.

Trek 7.3 or 7.4fx would be good hybrid choices, there's also a 7.4 disc model. Or...something like a 1.1 trek road bike, giant defy 3/4...should also consider Cube

Uncle has a decent road bike I can use until I can avail of the cycle to work scheme. Thanks for the help though.
