Good to see this sort of project getting up and going. Know of a good few youth projects that have used bikes as a way of engaging young people and I think 'Think Bike' used to run a programme for youth workers where they would provide the parts and run it over a number of weeks with the end result being a completed bike. Youth project in Dublin 8 used to collect old abandoned frames and parts, build them up and keep one and then sell on the others with the money being put back into tools and parts.

Good few horse projects across the country so good to see another type of project being developed.

On a side note, back in the 90's when joy riding was a huge problem, a youth project came up with an idea for a programme based on the young people's interest in cars where they would learn how to look after them and some basic mechanic skills. Project never got up and running, the local community objected because, as they seen it, the young lads would be getting the skills to fix up the cars they joy ride after they broke down. Hopefully this project doesn't meet any of that sort of thinking!
