    Hi, always thought that commercials in uk were similar to tractor etc regards vrt @200 euro. Checked out a 13 l200 on revenue website and its about 2250 to register. As it'l be classified as commercial down here, can vrt be avoided.

    No vet cannot be avoided unless you're a uk resident moving to ROI.
    If you buy brand new in UK, you also pay VAT.
    €2250 is not bad for a 13 vehicle, as a car could be up to €5k

    Under 6 months old is liable to vat as well as vrt

    Single cab pick-up is your only option to avail of the €200 VRT
