oil or gshp wth 5k difference

    As the rhi grants have ended up north there is now approx. 5k difference in the cost of installing a gshp compared to oil. I understand all the pros and cons, oil is only going one way, gshp suited to ufh which will be installed on both floors.
    My thoughts are 5k buys you a hell of a lot of oil, and the payback to claw back the 5k could be a very long time, unless oil sky rockets

    Thoughts? or maybe there is no right or wrong answer.

    I am thinking oil and when/if the grants ever come back in x amount of years I could re-evaluate.

    Are there still grants for woodpellet?

    All grants up here are closed for domestic inc pellets unfortunately
