I hate it, I completely despise it.

Why do they shout it all the time? Shane and Taker punching each other last night got the most irritating chant in WWF/E history.

If these fans were around in the late 90s/early 00s they wouldn't have been able to breath leaving the arena from the amount of times they would have had to chant it. Back then, you had to pull something huge out of the bag to get that kind of reaction (holy sh*t) but now??? Have a stare down and you get it.

Sorry for the rant but it's a huge gripe of mine nowadays.

Not a fan of the chant myself, but Compared to what they and we have been watching on raw lately, It was awesome.

The elbow was probably worthy of it, but the little scuffle before hand? Nah.

It is chanted too much but its better then having a silent crowd that a lot of raws have.

Is it as bad as "you still got it", chanted in the direction of guys that were never out of action to begin with?

It's totally meaningless now really. Chanted every week.

    Don't let it bother you.

With the complete ****e they've been fed the last five years, the standard a spot has to reach to considered to be a This is Awesome/Holy **** moment is quite low.

Its a long line of chants which are over used. This Is Awesome would be for something genuinely incredible, almost like a HOLY SHíT chant, but not a chair shot gets one or both.

Then you go into the true cringe chants, namely "you still got it" at a guy who may have been away for a month and is 42 years old or worst of all "this is wrestling".

Its fans trying to get themselves over and NXT fans (Full Sail U) are the very worst for it.

None of it was worth it, it says it all about the state of the product that a segment like that got a chant.

4 replies in the same minute pretty much saying the same thing. New record :D

Remember when all the Ireland fans went to the European Championship, then after the first match it was obvious we were going to get our arses handed to us in each game but they all decided "f*ck it, we're gonna have a fun time regardless"

That Brooklyn audience was the WWE equivalent to that.
Buying their WM go-home tickets months ago, it must've been really exciting, then Rollins vs HHH fell apart, and Cena vs Taker a bit later, then Cesaro got injured, and it became increasingly apparent that Sting was done, Bryan retires... can't blame them for trying to make lemons out of lemonade tbh.

Just added the *Raw spoilers* to the thread title but lads if there isn't something like that already please try to avoid talking about spoilered material like for example what happened on last nights Raw.

I don't really mind if the fans go a little bit overboard with what is awesome because at least they are into it, same reason I actually like the NXT fans cos at least they aren't sitting on their hands. However it does annoy me when they chant it too early. Let something happen, see if there is more to come, then show your appreciation. For example in the situation last night Taker cleared the monitor from the announce table and the fans started chanting this is awesome... what is exactly? nothing has happened... a few minutes later after Shane's spot and the crowd wouldn't have come across as obnoxious and instead appreciative and in many ways would have added to the situation as a result.

"Holy shit!" (another annoyance) did gerrybbadd just say that?!!

Agreed. Personally, "ECW" chants for a single, soft chair shot or slamming someone's head into the announce table is my kryptonite.

Will never have a problem with a crowd who voice an opinion, rather than sitting on their hands.

Giving out about crowd chants always comes across as sour grapes from people to me, I think.
