Buzzard: Injury or molting?

    Just noticed this buzzard today while out for a walk.

    Just wondering is that wing injured - or is it just moulting or whatever?


    It was flying perfectly with no signs of a problem

    You can get a minority start moult in a first year bird in April but this doesn't look like it. It's not really an injury either. It just lost a few feathers - probably in a squabble or a slight collision.
