Yeah, we'd a good Ch cow prolapse like that. It caused her no trouble calving, disappeared when she calved. We culled her then.

Yeah she sucks it in and calves no bother but seems to be more coming out in weeks previous to calving as space inside becomes limited .. She 284days now .. Even if I induce when vet opens Tuesday .. It's up to 36 hours

I've a far more interesting case. A large SIM cow, who would kill you, has a prolapse. Vet stiches it up 3 times at this stage. I'm looking forward to trying to get her into the crush to cut the stiches the few hours before she calves. She's getting to road after this.

Your vet has a great time if he closes up on a Saturday and takes the bank holiday Monday off. It's the end of March, not the August bank holiday!!! Ring him and tell him you want a shot to induce a cow

It's not that the vet is lazy just very young. At 284 days he'll need a lot of sleep.

j.0. .. I could be a while waiting on her you reckon ?!

I going to sit it out .. Did so last year and all worked out . Have to cull her this year I think as playing with fire here.

She comfortable and on strict rations so only sticking out when lying down .. Problem is she near road and people (great neighbours in fairness) keep ringing .. You have a cow calving below !!!
