Movement in car seat

    Hi folks,
142 civic. The drivers seat has a bit of play in it. It's only noticeable if I bank left or right around corners. It's almost like a sliding toilet seat. Just annoying me now more than being a major problem. I talked to Honda and they say there's not much they can do. To add to the complications the seats were originally cloth but I had them upholstered in leather.
If I push with it they should sort under warranty?
    Cheers,
    Mick

They may fix as good will but it's not really a warranty item as specced in your terms and conditions (probably).
Was it like this from brand new?

Edit, googling seems to say it's a known issue.

Why wouldn't it be a warranty item? Wasn't in from start.. The fixes I've seen online seem to be for older civics...

It seems you already spoke to Honda and they said it's not a warranty item?
    Check your warranty papers.

No they just said it's hard to fix... I haven't pushed them on it.. The real fix may involve a new drivers seat.. Just wondering would there be any specialists might look at it and fix relatively cheaply..

    Ah ok, maybe I misunderstood.
The fix is probably similar, washer under seat.
Does seat move side-to-side or back-to-front?

Check with a dealer if they can give you a quote (maybe even explain what needs to be fixed) and then chat to a few indies around, there's bound to be someone who knows civics.
