mf 399 gearbox shaft

changing clutch in 399 found centre shaft damaged just at seal :(. this shaft drives wheels. where can one be purchased, its about 18 inches long and im advised that machining is not good option main dealers closed at wddkend and more likely its a special order, thanks for info
