Learning about engines

Well lads. I want to learn more about engines and maintenance. Serious stuff, clutches, gearboxes, valves etc., not just regular maintenance. Problem is it isn't feasible at the moment to train as a mechanic. Does anybody know of anywhere around the Limerick area that does courses? Or know of any mechanics in the Limerick area that are willing to teach someone?

    Cheers.

Get yourself the "Hilliers Fundamentals..." series of books on Amazon or possibly your local second-hand bookstore and a knackered old Micra. Have at it, and good luck.
