Hi, was wondering how to confirm a movement of animals to my herd, it says on the certificate of compliance I received in the post from the seller that i "can confirm the movement electronically" on the agfood account but i cant see how you do it. Do any of ye have any inclination as to how its done, thanks.

    Hi
Are you signed up for agfood online sevices?
If so log in, go to AIM (animal identification and movements) section.
There should be a sub heading for movements, and when you click that there will be another heading with notify movements.
From there on it should be self explanatory.
    Hope this helps.

The movement might already have been completed by the seller if he posted the notification copy away? You can check this on agfood too

Log onto Agfood, choose second option - It's called animal movement and identification (AIM). Choose herd profile and either manually check the ear tag number by scrolling down the list or you can enter the tag number in the search box at the bottom left part of the screen.
If they are not in your herd go back to the main AIM menu and select "Notify Farm Movement" Enter the Compliance Cert number into this box, it is the number under the bar code on the top left of the page.
Then check off the tag numbers that you purchased against the animals/cards and enter the date of movement. Then click on the little box at the bottom of the screen and submit.
If more than 10 animals are moved then the additional compliance cert/s will have the cert number ending with A for the first 10, same number with B for the next 10 etc, etc.

Does the piece of paper you got have destination copy written on it. The notification sheet has a space for both signatures then both buyer and seller keep their copy as a record of the movement. By right the buyer is supposed to post away the notification copy within 7 days off movement. I normally do the posting here as then I know it's done
