I went for an interview in January and still haven't heard anything. Should I just give up that's it's gone?

I've made contact twice and was told I did a brilliant interview but they still haven't made any decisions.

    It was through an agency.

It's not unheard of to be honest, but I wouldn't be holding on for 3 months if you are currently unemployed etc.

If it went as well as they say, there is a chance you may get them to move a bit faster if you let them know you've had another offer and you are considering it.

But to be honest, after 3 months, I'd be cutting my losses

That's what I was thinking, I needed to hear it too you know.
    Thanks though!!

If the recruiters would follow up it would be great, just a small email. Unfortunately that's not the case!

Hopefully something else will come up.

I have an interview this week for an Administration position and was told it would include a small exam on word, excel and office procedures. Does anyone have any idea of what this might involve?

Had an interview with excel exams myself, the first I was given a list with a sports club title then names and occupations with other membership details. I had to create a spreadsheet listing these details and group them in terms of membership paid/no. It was very quick so I didn't get too far. The second was more finance based. Excellent again, but it was more trying to find out if I was comfortable with credit/debit lodgings. Probably more specific to the position I applied for
