I have download speed of 17.10mbps and upload speed of 0.60 mbps on average .Should this be good enough for a Smart TV .I want to avoid buffering as people come to watch matches and movies .Spending a good bit on the TV so want to make sure its worth the effort .Should I go direct to the router or use the in built WIFI on the TV .Advice appreciated .Thanks .

17mb is loads for everything barring 4K. I only have about 8mb and I can stream HD Netflix, YouTube, iTunes movies, etc no issue whatsoever. It's only when I try some 4K YouTube videos that I get buffering.
I use the built in WiFi in the TV too and it's fine. So long as your router is not miles away from the TV, wifi should be fine.

Your upload speed is crap, like mine, but that doesn't matter, it's downloading you'll be doing.
