Witness Statements

    Hi,

As part of my work I produce expert witness statements for use within the UK. These follow the criteria of section 9 of the criminal justice act.

    justice.gov.uk/courts/procedure-rules/criminal/docs/crim-pr-form-Part27-witness-statement.pdf

I have been looking around for Ireland but cant find an equivalent? Is there any criteria/requirements for expert witness/report statements within Ireland?

I found a statement of evidence but this doesn't seem to be quite what I am after, if such a thing even exists.

I just seem to be going round in circles trying to find something but there doesnt seem to be any kind of requirements.

    Any help?!

Not sure if what you do in the UK is done here. For instance where a witness provides a statement to Gardai be it as a witness, injured party or as a professional witness it is recorded in writing by the Gardai following a statutory declaration similar to the one in your link. In your case of preparing a statement for someone I don't know of where that would be used...
