Cheque still not cleared after 5 working days

Hi Folks, I lodged a cheque into my account last Tuesday afternoon. Taking St Patrick's Day as a non working day, I would have thought that the cheque should have cleared by now? Thanks, Richard

Hi Folks,

I lodged a cheque into my account last Tuesday afternoon. Taking St Patrick's Day as a non working day, I would have thought that the cheque should have cleared by now?

Hi Richard,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.

Cheques can take five working days to clear on an account. As Thursday 17th March was a non-processing day, today (23rd March) would be the fifth working day. The latest your cheque will clear would be tomorrow morning.
