Hot water system

    Hi All,

I am currently renovating a 1970's bungalow and will be changing out the plumbing completely (with the exception of holding onto a new condensing oil boiler).

Is an unvented indirect hot water system the best option to go with?

I have the intention of adding a Photo-voltaic system at a later date that will divert excess power to the immersion element.

What is the best cylinder to go with, based on user experience?

    Thanks.

    D.

Photo-voltaic is not worth the money, it will cost more than it will ever save you. Go for solar water heating instead.

If you are totally re-plumbing, look at rainwater / grey water harvesting for WC flushing.
