Hi. I submitted my Med1 online at the end of February and still haven't received any word. Does anyone know how long does Revenue normally take to process medical expenses claims?

If you mean, claimed health expenses via PAYE AnyTime, then it's normally a 48 hour turnaround. If any refund is due, it's normally 3 working days later.

Did you log back into your PAYE anytime account and check to see if you received a balancing statement for the year in question?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I checked, there's no P21 there.

Are you sure you actually submitted it, or is it still in there, unsubmitted...?

It says there's a tax credit and income summary 2015 and the health expenses show in that. That's in requests history. there aren't any pending requests.

I did the same thing and the health expenses showed up in the summary for 2015, I haven't received anything from revenue so am presuming that the refund will be applied through tax credits?

No, it doesn't work like that. If it's been applied to 2015, then it should generate a refund from 2015 if one is due. Did you get a P21?

A percentage of all claims are held for manual verification which could take a few weeks at this time of year. Drop Revenue a note through the my enquiries service to see what the story is.
