The Jedwardifaction of Irish Dancing

These Irish Dancing troupe with the 'street' attitude are so over done at this point.

I am not knocking the ability to dance with such precision and skill, I am talking about the sour puss faces and the 'in your face!' pretentiousness.

It's going on decades since Riverdance and we get it!

But the whole need to 'yeah we Irish dance and we are cool!' thing is getting as twee as wee colleens in garish dresses with orange curly wigs. They are not cool at all no matter how 'serious' they look and how tight their jeans or short their skirts. It comes across about as 'street' as Jeward and Vanilla Ice.

    Enough Already.

Hardly "street" if they can't cross their arms to show their "cred".

Fashions change and Irish dancing is full of invented traditions for well over a century.

First they came for our babies. Then our money. And now our dancing.

I've never encountered this. Are they armed?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

A link to a video would have been nice. We could have all mocked them together. But no, you're a bad man. Bad.

They are but they don't use them.

If Jedward are philistines does that make Jeward Palestinians?

I googled and came up with this link.

Some crowd went onto a train in Perth on Thursday morning (St Patrick's day - but a normal Thursday commute in Perth) and did a flash mob of Irish dancing. With hard shoes. To line dancing music.

I would have beaten them to death with those hard shoes.

As long as they hold the gun sideways, that's all that matters.

I was really wondering if it was a Jewish invasion of Irish dancing or Jedward by the link.

I'm kinda disappointed that it was Jedward now.

But on another note, the sourpuss faces is the traditional way Irish dancing is done. It's only since Riverdance that one is allowed to look like one might be enjoying oneself. It's SUPPOSED to look like purgatory with spinach.

To quote Chandler Bing "it looks like the legs are independent from the body".

Thread title amended to what I assume the OP intended it to be.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
