    Hi,

I have a user that has full control to a file location on a network share
She wants to name a file a particular thing
    EG file 2016

She is unable to and been told she does not have permission to do so
If she saves it as file 2016 a Thats no problem

If i create the file on the sever for her
She can open it but does not have ANY permissions on the file at all if she looks at it from her PC. When i look at it on the sever she has full permissions

If i rename the file on the server to any thing else she is able to access the file no problem.

Has anyone come across this issue before?

Is it only with excel files, or if you create a word file with the same name, does it happen?

Can she try open it with something else, e.g. Notepad, just to make some changes?

Maybe also check to see if sharing is enabled within excel for that file - possibly that is causing some sort of lock - doubt it but only other thing I can think of.

Its only with this one Excel File name.

Its a clean blank Excel file. Created from the server OR any other PC.

I'm thinking its a LOCAL PC issue.
    Proable something in the Reg.

Havn't had a chance recreate Local Profile or get her logged into another PC.
