Fair hair and white skin - tanning beds work??

When I say fair, I mean, ginger.
Red - but it's not fiery red.
    It's fair.

Skin white as the screen I'm typing on.

In the sun, I burn, then I go white again.

Sunblock is the only way to go.

I get freckles on my face and foreskin.... I mean forearms, but apart from that, I don't get freckles, or tan.

    Would a tanning bed work?

Or would I have to go the spray-on route??

If you don't tan in the sun you won't tan on sunbeds. Plus they're really dangerous. I'd fake it.

Do not use sun beds I repeat do not use sunbeds. All you will do is damage your skin making you are prematurely and also increase you risk of skin cancers.

If you're looking for skin cancer then yeah go ahead.

I'm naturally sallow, turn nc40 in the sun while covered in factor30.

Have never gone without sunscreen but about 3 years ago while working in Spain a mole on my arm I've had for years changed colour, this was while reapplying every 2 hours but it wasn't enough.

Have spent most of my life in hot countries so was a big shock and an even bigger shock having to have it removed. Do not get on a sun bed. Even if you never get anything removed the damage you do will take years off you, it's hard when being tanned is being thrown at you from every angle but believe me you are better off faking it.

    Cheers.

    That's cool.

With spray on, I've never had it before.

Does that **** rub off easily or what?
    Will it stain my clothes?
Can I apply sunblock over it?
    How long does it last?

Please use fake tan. Try the gradual body moisturisers, or even Sally Hansen legs. Im deadly pale too, and use gradual fake tan. It doesn't rub off that I've noticed, but I don't wear white often.

We buried my grandfather last year; he had melanoma which spread to his lungs, bowel and brain. Various family members have had growths cut off them, and melanoma is very common in Oz. It's a sh*t way to die.

I've applied sunblock over tan before and not had a problem. I'd advise you to get it done by a professional and get a patch test done prior so you get an idea of how well the colour will take on your skin.

I'm a redhead & I did a few weeks of the sunbed before my wedding 7 years ago, and all I got was freckles! It was pointless & I should have known seeing as I don't tan in the sun. So don't bother. Apart from being dangerous for your skin, it'll be a waste of money!

Go for a spray tan, I always find that works best for me and looks natural.

15 euro for an upper body spray tan.

    Seems okay.

They did a test on a patch of skin.
Looked not particularly natural, but maybe the real deal would look better.

Can't hurt to try it once though.

It won't look natural when you first get it done. You will need to sleep on it (wear old sleepwear!), & shower off the excess next day. Then it will look much better.
