Should transgender kids have rights regarding bathrooms and accommodations?

I think in nearly every place in schools and groups with retreats for teens, males and females are separated. When sleeping, in changing rooms, and perhaps other things. The question is what if a transgender girl feels EXTREMELY uncomfortable dressing around boys and sleeping around them. Are they supposed to just suck it up or do you think our society should change to make space for them?

Did we not do this to death a few weeks ago, with the school bathroom thread?

Unisex toilets for all, mini urinals for others.

    Or whatever...
