    Hi everyone
Has anyone else not got paid their anc (area of natural constraint) payment for 2015?
I only received my bps payment for 2015 about a month ago, I've tried calling the department, but kept on the line for ages and then it just says leave a message and they'll call back, which they never do.
I only started out farming last year as a young farmer, and i was told at the time that the 7 or 12 month rules for stock retention would not automatically apply to me and that in situations like mine the case would be handled by an actual person who would review my situation and make a judgement on whether I was eligible or not.
Anyone else in a similar situation?
    Thanks

Maybe you are doing this already. Call 057-8678715 and you'll get directly through to the ANC section. I rang 2 weeks ago and got sorted pretty promptly. I found them very helpful.

    Cheers thanks for that,
I'll give them a ring tomorrow.
I was using the number on the departments website, hopefully I'll have more luck with this one.
    Thanks again

Never heard that you could avoid the retention rules.

Not avoid them, more that because I only started farming around may/june last year, it would not have been possible to have the stock for the 7 or 12 month rules for last years scheme.
It only applied to last year, this year I would be in the same boat as everyone else.
That's what the department told me last year when I was applying anyways, maybe that didn't come to pass, if I could get through to them I'd know, very hard to get through though.
