Can I donate bone marrow if I have back problems?

I applied to join the bone marrow registry last year and have finally had an email back to attend my local blood clinic and speak to a nurse this week. The booklet they have sent me states that people with disc or ligament problems cannot donate. I have an injury in my si and facet joints. Will this prevent me from donating?

Just make sure to tell the nurse when you give your blood sample. There are two methods of donation, one can't be done on people with back problems but the other can, so it doesn't rule you out.
